However, Tennis Australia has already confirmed that it would not send its Davis Cup team to visit India due to high security concern during the time of India’s general election.

Meanwhile, International Tennis Federation (ITF) has already said that Australia must visit India to take on the home side in a Davis Cup affair. The general election of India is currently going on in India, and because of election, Indian Premier League (IPL) has also been relocated to South Africa amid the fear of inadequate security for the tournament.

Well, Davis Cup is the most prestigious team tournament in Tennis and I hope you already understand the significance of the match. It will be a mistake to compare the Davis Cup match with IPL tournament.
