Venus Williams won the WTA title in Dubai. It was her 40^th career Sony Ericsson WTA Tour singles title. After defeating Virginie Razzano in the final round by 6-4, 6-2, she has become the 12^th player ever to reach the milestone. It was seventh victory in her last eight Tour singles finals. She secured her place in the final round after getting an easy win against her sister Serena Williams in the semi-final clash.
