Roger Federer Favorite for US Open 2009 among Betters

Wimbledon and French Open winner Roger Federer is now left to win the US Open grand slam tournament to finish another year with three grand slam titles. Federer is always favorite when it comes to US Open as he is the reigning champion of Flashing Meadows for the last five years. Well, the betters feel in the same way too as Federer appeared top most favorite among the betters for US Open 2009, starting from 30 August.

Roger Federer became the winner of record 15 grand slam singles titles by winning French Open 2009 title couple of months back. Well, it is true that Rafael Nadal was not at his top form during French Open this year, mostly because of his knee injury. However, Nadal is still the second favorite among the betters to win US Open 2009, even though the Spaniard has just returned from a 10-week rehabilitation period following a surgery on his knee.

Serbian star Novak Djokovic takes the third place in the list, followed by Juan Martin Del Porto, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Fernado Verdasco, Nikolay Davydenko, Robin Soderling and Fernando Gonzalez in the list of top ten favorites. Well, I think, Andy Roddick and Andy Murray could also be very tough to break in US Open 2009.
