The world no. 1 dominated his opponent throughout the match. Tennis Australia Refused to Send Davis Cup Team in India on Security Ground

Australia has a scheduled Davis Cup away match in India. Asia/Oceania Zone Group I third-round match is due to start from May 8 which will continue to May 10. However, Tennis Australia has already confirmed that it would not send its Davis Cup team to visit India due to high security concern during the time of India’s general election.

Meanwhile, International Tennis Federation (ITF) has already said that Australia must visit India to take on the home side in a Davis Cup affair. The general election of India is currently going on in India, and because of election, Indian Premier League (IPL) has also been relocated to South Africa amid the fear of inadequate security for the tournament.

Well, Davis Cup is the most prestigious team tournament in Tennis and I hope you already understand the significance of the match. It will be a mistake to compare the Davis Cup match with IPL tournament. IPL is a big tournament featuring 8 teams and 59 matches for which providing enough security for the tournament was not an easy one while the country’s general election is being taken place simultaneously. On the other hand, IPL is just a matter of one match and providing some extra security would not be a big deal for Indian tennis federation. So, I do not see any big threat for the Davis Cup match between India and Australia. However, one thing is, for sure, that Indian government must ensure a highly tight security for Australian team.

Rafael Nadal Reaches Monte Carlo Masters Final to Face Novak Djokovic

World no. 1 Rafael Nadal saw off British star Andy Murray with a straight set victory at the semi final of Monte Carlo Masters where Nadal is now eyeing for his fifth straight title in the tournament. In the final, Nadal will face world no.3 Novak Djokovic who made it to the final after defeating Stanislas Wawrinka 4-6 6-1 6-3.

Rafael Nadal dominated in the first set against Murray as the Spaniard took it 6-2, but the Briton posed huge challenge for Nadal in the second set which was decided in tie breaker as Nadal clinched it 7-6 (4). Rafael Nadal has been in excellent form over the last one year and he would definitely start as a favorite against Djokovic in the final of Monte Carlo Masters. Djokovic, however, lacks consistency, though there is no doubt about his class and talent. So, tennis fans could experience a highly-fought final in the tournament.

Rafael Nadal: An All Time Tennis Great of Clay Court

Spanish tennis star Rafael Nadal has already become one of the greatest ever clay court players in tennis. In fact, Nadal’s four out of six grand slam titles came in French Open, the only clay court grand slam tournament. Nadal has been the French Open champion for the last four years since French Open 2005. Moreover, the Spaniard clinched 8 out of his 17 ATP tour titles on clay court.

The way Nadal has improved his game, it seems that the Spaniard is going to become one of the greatest ever players not only clay court, but also for all courts. You know that Nadal won Wimbledon title last year as well as Australian Open this year, besides his continuous dominance in French Open. Another great Roger Federer has much of his dominance over the last one year to Nadal. Federer is still a threat for Nadal on tennis circuit, but I think, Andy Murray from Britain has emerged as another big threat to Rafael Nadal’s dominance in world tennis.

Most teenagers perhaps do not know now who Monica Seles was. Well, 20 years ago, she was a star and she was the player who could challenge Steffi Graf and almost demolished her but then a tragic accident happened and Seles was out of action. What happened was a lunatic fan of Steffi Graf felt frustrated that his idol Graf was losing and losing to Monica Seles and this way, at one stage, he became mad and attacked Seles while she playing in an event. This injury destroyed her career while she was at the prime. She could never recover both physically and emotionally. That is why I feel that she is a tragic hero in World Tennis.

Sania Mirza: Beauty vs Tennis?

Do not get me wrong, I like it Sania Mirza a lot and I feel that that Sania Mirza is perhaps the best female tennis player in Asia. However, I am sad that she never tried hard enough to become one of the top ten players in the world and in it is bad that she gave a lot of time on nonsense things like making herself more beautiful or dating with a famous celebrity or even doing advertisements for television. I have no doubt that Sania Mirza is one of the top ten most beautiful tennis players of all time and there has been very few tennis players who are as beautiful as she is even in the past.

Being beautiful is not a crime or not even a negative thing but focusing too much on beauty is bad if you are playing Tennis. That is why if you search about Sania Mirza in Google search engine then you will find many hot and sexy pictures of this famous female tennis player but you will not see a very few big pictures which she is celebrating the winning of the championship of any Tennis tournament. This is really a tragedy and perhaps a big tragedy and I feel that it is the media and her fans that are more to be responsible than Sania Mirza herself. They made her a demigod and she got a lot of money at a very early age with hardly any effort.

Just because Sania Mirza is very beautiful, she got some great opportunities to do television advertisements and she got a lot of money from a sponsorship and advertisements. That is why her prize money (US$ 1,294,340) from Tennis is not that significant but she earned a lot of money from other sources.
