Wimbledon 2009: Serena Williams bet Roberta Vinci to reach 4th round

Serena Williams is much closer from her dream. She has moved to fourth round after defeating Roberta Vinci by 6-3, 6-4. Her dominance over the grass-court shows the possibility to hold the trophy. Recently, she is taking the second ranking. This match was played only 67 minutes. However, she took another straight win and you can understand that she didn’t give her opponent any chance to come back in the competition.
Serena Williams hit 10 aces and made 12 unforced errors. It seems that she will be the big threat for her elder sister Venus Williams, who is the five-time Wimbledon champion. I think that we can see another final match of Williams’ sisters.

French Open 2009: Serena Williams moved second round after beating Klara Zakopalova

It seems that the second-seeded player in Woman tennis, Serena Williams, is struggling hard to take the complete control of French Open 2009. In the first round, she has got a tough win against Czech Klara Zakopalova by 6-3, 6-7, 6-4. She is now looking for his 11th career Grand Slam singles title. This victory came after four straight loses. Serena was not in comfort mood. In this game, she made four double faults and was unable to place 55% of her serves in the first round. What was the reason for her bad performance? I expected something more from her. However, the good news is that she won the match and moved in the second round. Serena Williams Struggled With Right-hand Injury

American contestant Serena Williams could not make any strong protest against Francesca Schiavone. She withdrew the Madrid Open contest after losing the first set by 6-4 and realized that her injury became worsen situation. In the current ranking, she is taking second position. It is naturally an upsetting matter for her fans and supporters. However, I think that it was impossible for her to continue the game with injury in her right hand. As a devoted fan, I will pray for her so that she can make her come back soon and dominance the tennis court.

However, in men’s contest Wilfried Tsonga got a tough win against former Australian and U.S. Open champion Marat Safin. He defeated him by 6-4, 7-5. However, Marat Safin has expressed that feeling saying that he will retire from professional tennis. I have to admit that he has become aged and this is the right time of taking retirement.
