Two Grand Slam winners Amelie Mauresmo may say good bye her tennis court. The word ranked 20 French women won Australian open in 2006 and Wimbledon at the same year. She was reached on the number one ranking in 2004. The 30 years old, is passing very tough time and is anxious for her career. Even she did not join at Tokyo or Beijing open this year. In her tennis career appeared in Quarter-final of French open two times (2003, 2004) and US Open (2002, 2006) and achieved (her major tournaments) WTA Championships title in 2005. Amelie will not play the 2 tournaments she had planned to compete in: Linz and Luxembourg. Since my return from the US Open, I tried to practice, but I haven't found the thirst to compete. I won't rush into things or force the issue. I'll give myself time to think, in order to make a decision as for the rest of my career.

World no. 1 Dinara Safina failed to reach the last eight of the Los Angles WTA tournament. The top seed Russian was handed a shocking defeat by Chinese star Zheng Jie who won the three-set match 7-5 4-6 6-4.
