Rafael Nadal Facing High Altitude Challenge in Madrid Masters

World no. 1 Rafael Nadal has been in sparkling form as the Spaniard has just won three ATP tour titles in the space of just one month recently. After winning fifth straight Monte Carlo title and Barcelona Open, Nadal retained Rome title last week, defeating Novak Djokovic in the final.

Now, Rafael Nadal is going to take part in the Madrid Masters on a 30-match unbeaten streak on clay court, ahead of French Open 2009 which kicks off later this month. The Madrid Masters is the last tournament for Nadal before he heads into the French Open 2009 where Nadal will be looking for his fifth straight title this year.

Though Rafael Nadal has clinched three clay court titles over the last one month, the Madrid Masters would be an easy stage for the Spaniard to replicate his current form because of Madrid’s high altitude (600-meter). Now, it is to see if Rafael Nadal can take up the challenge successfully and win his fourth clay court title before heading toward Roland Garros.
